The regional competition took place in two age groups (2011, 2012). The clubs of the North-Hungarian region competed in the Kemény Dénes Sportuszodas in Miskolc, where nine clubs participated, including the youngsters of AQUA SE.

Nyíregyháza was represented by 24 talented swimmers, with 12-12 swimmers in each age group. Under the guidance of their coaches, Zsolt Éder and Máté Rudik, the athletes performed excellently. According to the rules of the competition, each competitor was only allowed to compete in one individual and one relay event, thus showing the efficiency of the preparatory work of the clubs. AQUA SE fielded competitors in all events and achieved excellent results in the 50, 100 and 200 m individual distances.

The most interesting part of the competition was the relays, as is usual in world competitions. The AQUA SE team did all its competitors proud. The most outstanding moment was a victory in Nyíregyháza: the AQUA SE 2012 age group 4x100 m relay team triumphed confidently, ahead of the teams from Eger and Miskolc. It was a very exciting race and congratulations to all!

Zoltán Szécsi, the president of the Eger water polo club, who is a three-time Olympic champion, highlighted the high quality of professional work in Nyíregyháza and assured the AQUA Sport Association of his support, said Roland Szakács, president of AQUA SE.
