On September 12, young water polo players will once again take center stage at the Eissmann Municipal Swimming Pool in Nyíregyháza. Organized by Aqua SE, the Nyír-Chem Water Polo Cup is being held for the third time and serves as an important stop on the teams’ path to the championship.

Four youth teams will participate in the tournament, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In addition to the host team, Aqua SE, invited teams are coming to Nyíregyháza to assess their level of preparation in competitive match situations.

The primary goal of the cup is for young players to gain valuable match experience before the start of the National A2 Water Polo Championship. The matches give coaching staffs the opportunity to test various tactical elements, while players can practice teamwork in real-game situations.

The Nyír-Chem Cup has now become a recurring event in the September training schedule for Nyíregyháza’s youth water polo teams. In addition to competition, the tournament also offers a community experience for the young participants.

Due to the matches, the swimming pool will be closed to the public starting at 9:00 a.m. on September 12. The teaching pool will remain open to the public from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Admission to the competition is 500 Ft, and seating in the stands is limited, so it's a good idea to arrive early.
