The Eissmann Nyíregyháza Municipal Swimming Pool is in for a busy weekend. On Friday, October 23, the facility will be closed for the national holiday; on Saturday, it will host the 7th Szabolcs Cup international swimming competition; and starting Sunday, the fall maintenance break will begin.
On Friday, October 23—the Day of Remembrance for the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence—the swimming pool will be closed.
On Saturday, October 24, competitive swimming will once again take center stage. At the 7th Szabolcs Cup international preparatory swimming competition, athletes from Hungary and abroad will test their skills against one another. The competition offers an excellent opportunity to prepare for future events and gain valuable competition experience.
Saturday’s competition schedule:
- Gates open: 7:30 a.m.
- Warm-up: 9:00 a.m.
- Competition start: 10:00 a.m.
- Expected end time: 5:00 p.m.
Interested spectators may watch the event in person. The stands can accommodate 250 people, so seating is limited. Visitors attending the competition can cheer on the athletes by purchasing a 500-forint visitor ticket.
We would like to inform our guests that public swimming will not be available during the competition, and the “Mozdulj Nyíregyháza!” program will also be canceled this Saturday.
The fall maintenance break begins on Sunday, October 25, and will last until November 1. Regular maintenance plays an important role in ensuring the proper functioning of the pools, water treatment equipment, and the swimming center’s technical systems. The purpose of this work is to ensure that the facility provides a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for athletes and the public in the long term.
The Eissmann Nyíregyháza Municipal Swimming Pool will reopen its doors on Monday, November 2, at 6:00 a.m., with its usual hours of operation from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
We thank our guests for their patience and understanding! We wish the participants of the 7th Szabolcs Cup a successful competition, and we look forward to welcoming our visitors back to a refreshed environment starting November 2!
